PIANO CITY®: A WORLD CONNECTED

Piano City® is a global movement that reimagines how a city can experience music. Founded by Berlin based pianist Andreas Kern, Piano City brings piano performances out of traditional concert halls and into homes, businesses, public spaces, and unexpected corners of urban life. For one inspiring weekend, an entire city comes alive with music, giving musicians of different backgrounds a chance to shine in intimate homes and unusual public locations.

From Berlin, the original Piano City, the festival has grown to cities including Milan, Naples, Palermo, Madrid, Athens, Lisbon, Novi Sad, Pordenone, Lecce, Vico del Gargano, Corigliano Rossano, and now Silicon Valley. Each edition is independently organized, shaped by its own community, artists, neighborhoods, and cultural identity. Yet all share the same joyful spirit: anyone, anywhere, can get involved.

Piano City® Silicon Valley joins this worldwide family with a voice of its own. Here, the piano becomes a bridge between innovation and intimacy, technology and humanity, private homes and shared public life. In a region known for ideas, invention, and global connection, Piano City invites us to slow down, listen closely, and rediscover the people and places around us.

Whether in a living room, a gallery, a garden, a school, a business, or an unexpected public space, Piano City Silicon Valley celebrates the belief that music belongs everywhere. Audiences are invited to create their own musical journey, moving through the city from one experience to the next, discovering not only remarkable pianists but also the unique spaces and communities that make Silicon Valley home.
